How to Add a Logo to a QR Code Without Breaking Scannability

Use logo QR codes safely with the right size, contrast, and testing.

Keep the logo modest

A logo should sit in the center without covering too much of the QR pattern. FluidQR uses high error correction for logo QR codes, but large logos still reduce scan margin.

If the QR code will be printed small, use a simpler logo or remove fine details.

Protect contrast

Your QR pattern should remain clearly darker than the background. Gradients can look great, but avoid low-contrast colors near the finder patterns.

White or transparent space around the logo helps cameras separate the logo from the QR modules.

Test before you print

Scan the final exported file on at least two phones and from different distances. Test the actual printed size if the code will appear on packaging, signage, or cards.

Use SVG for professional print layouts so edges stay sharp.
